• check lights operation, front screen, wipers and horn
• check seatbelt operation
• check warning light operation and instrument illumination
• check interior lights
• check handbrake travel
• check foot brake travel
• check clutch travel
• check doors operation and fuel cap
• check for engine and gearbox oil leaks
• check cooling fan operation and anti freeze protection level
• check brake fluid level and condition
• check all drive belts (excluding cambelt)
• check steering joints, couplings, including poer steering fluid levels and condition
• check suspension joints, gaitors and mounts
• check road springs
• check shock absorbers and mountings
• check fuel lines
• check brake pipes
• check exhaust system, mountings and condition
• change oil filter and sump washer
• check and top up transmission and axle oils
• remove wheels and check front discs and pads
• remove rear drums, check brakes, clean and adjust
• check wheel bearings
• check CV gaitors where applicable
• refill with engine oil
• fit new spark plugs
• fit new air filter
• check tyre condition and pressures
• refit wheels and tourquebolts/nuts
• reset service light
• road test vehicle and report
• stamp service book
